Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21, 1983. Maggie Grace is an American actor best known for her character Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. Originating from Worthington Ohio she quit high school and moved to Los Angeles with her mother when her parents separated. They were struggling to make ends meet and was offered her first role in acting in the film Rachel's Room's leading character. In 2002 she was nominated for an Young Artist Award with her role as 15-year old murdered Martha Moxley. Grace Rutherford played Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons in 2004, and was awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award (with all the other actors) along with her. Grace was keen to pursue film after playing opposite Tom Welling's character in The Fog, in 2005. The actress has also appeared on Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club both in 2007 and in Taken with Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) are her re-casts of these characters. Grace performed the role of Shannon once more in the show's finale and in two additional episodes. She was in 2013 for Season 6 of Californication. She portrays Faith as a groupie and is also a model stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. She's a Gyllenhaal, the child of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), she is a bit older in age than Jake Gyllenhaal. When she was a teenager, she began to work as a small part-time actress for her father and appeared in Donnie Darko with her brother. The next film she appeared in was Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, both 2002 and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received nominations for an Golden Globe Award in both the action drama Sherrybaby (2005) and in the romantic comedy Secretary (2002). Both films received acclaim from critics. She gained wider recognition after playing Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) due to the success of several commercial films she starred in during 2006. As the single mother, in Crazy Heart (2009) she got a nomination in the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Then she continued to appear in comedy films and dramas like Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011), and Will Not Back Down (12). The other roles she's played included Secret Service agents in White House Down (2013, action thriller) as well as musicians in Frank (2014 and drama The Kindergarten Teacher 2018) as well as the role of the Kindergarten Teacher. Gyllenhaal's first film as a filmmaker and writer took place in 2021, with The Lost Daughter, a psycho-drama for which she received the Venice International Film Festival Best Screenplay Award. The film also received the Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
