Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a family with a strong musical background. When she was a kid, she listened to many traditional music as well as old Boleros. Also, she listened to traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana is a fan of tangos and operas as well as other dramatic performances. Ana started learning how to sing and play music in the early years together with her mom. The formal vocal training at the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She furthered her training in music in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was part of a variety of chamber and opera choirs. When she moved into America, United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002 she moved to southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo of the traditional Latin American music at private performances. In addition to being a local performer and instructor the passion for art and music has her engaged in a wide range of different projects. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes, through her sharing songs from Latin American traditional songs, to bring about a desire, specifically in the younger generations to keep this tradition in the present.
